Our Products: How to Make a Purchase
By making a purchase you agree to the terms & conditions as specified below: Browse our online store at www.washitapes.co.uk. When you see an item that is of interest click on the thumbnail to get more information. Next to each item there is a description of the product. We have tried our best to ensure that all descriptions are accurate at the time of entering that item into the catalogue. To buy the item click the 'add to basket' button. When you have finished shopping, click 'View Basket' at the top of the page to see a summary of your order. All users are required to register in order to buy. Registering requires you to enter your invoice address and delivery address information. You will then be forwarded to Paypal to make your secure Payment. Upon a successful transaction, you will be emailed with details of your order together with reference numbers. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract of sale yet exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an email to confirm notification of shipment. We have included this term to protect us in the event that a mistake has been made in pricing, or where we are no longer able to supply a particular product due to circumstances beyond our control.
Please ensure you use a valid and current e-mail address when ordering, as you will receive all confirmation and reference numbers relating to your purchase by e-mail.
We take only delivery details from you on our website. Credit card details are taken and processed via PAYPAL. PAYPAL uses only the highest level of SSL security encryption to ensure that your details are kept secure. At no time do we see your credit card information. Please note that you do not need a Paypal account to pay us. Paypal accept all forms of credit card and debit card. Before the continue button on the first Paypal screen you should see the option to Pay by Credit or Debit Card. It looks like this:
No Goods are despatched until paid for in full via Paypal.
Difficulties Checking out via Paypal
If for any reason you have problems checking out - please email us at email@example.com and we will send you an email invoice. By following the Paypal link you will be able to settle the invoice by using your credit/debit card. You do not need a Paypal account in order to use this secure payment method.
Postage for the UK is a flat fee of £2.75 . Overseas orders are all sent by Royal Mail airmail service and will take approximately 5-7 working days to arrive Europe costs £3.95 as a flat rate and the rest of the world is charged at £4.95.
DELIVERY: We aim to despatch all items within two working days of payment being cleared. All UK items are sent by Royal Mail first class.
Note: We may split your order into 2 parcels or more if we deem that it offers a more efficient delivery method, either for reasons of cost or to enable delivery through the letterbox. We do not deliver to PO boxes. Orders over £20 may require a signiture.
If you have received confirmation of us sending out an item, but have not yet received it - please allow 7 days before reporting the matter to us - it may simply be delayed in the Royal Mail system. Any claims for non-delivery must be made within 30 days of receiving notice that we have sent out your goods.
If an item is returned to us because you have failed to sign for the delivery and have not made arrangement for redelivery (or have failed to collect from Post Office), we reserve the right to charge additional postage for redelivery, or in the case of refund, we will refund your original purchase price minus delivery costs and merchant fees incurred to us.
If your item is not in stock, we will put it on back order for you. You will always be emailed notifying you of any delay and be given the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Currency and Taxes All transactions are carried out in British Pounds (GBP). If you are paying from another country your payment will be converted by paypal. We are not VAT registered.
We do not send out individual invoice receipts for each sale. Should you require a formal invoice for your purchase, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to provide this for you. You will not need a receipt to request a refund/exchange - just some proof that the items were originally purchased from us (usually the email address used to make the purchase is sufficient).
If any item you receive is not complete or with fault, we will provide a replacement at our own cost, or, a refund if we no longer have that item in stock. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Your Right to Cancel
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel our agreement within seven days of the contract beginning (when you have received your order).
You must confirm in writing that you wish to cancel (you can do this via email). If you notify us that you wish to cancel before we have shipped your order, we will refund, in full, your purchase. If you have already taken delivery of the order, you should upon receipt of the order return the full order to us in an 'as new' and unused condition. We reserve the right to recover delivery costs where cancellation has happened AFTER we have notified you of shipping the product. The items should be in the same condition which you received them. Items should be complete packs, un-opened and unused. You agree that in the circumstances where you have already taken receipt of the order, you will be liable for all cost of the items until we receive the items returned to us in their original condition. We recommend that you obtain a proof of postage when returning goods to us. We regret we cannot offer refunds on items that we do not receive back and there is no proof of postage. You the customer agree to be liable for postage costs for returning items to us. Upon receipt of the returned goods, we will refund, in full, the amount to the credit card to which the charge was originally made.
We must be notified in writing (by email) and within 7 days of taking delivery if you intend want to return any product. After 7 days have passed we will deem that you have accepted the goods after inspecting them.
For items that are damaged or faulty we will:
1. Offer to replace the item at a cost to ourselves
2. Offer a full refund where the first option is not available.We want our customers to be happy. If you require to return a product that is not faulty, please contact us to obtain instructions for the return.
We reserve the right to recover delivery costs and merchant service fees incurred, where returns are not due to a fault in the product.
A note about Novelty /Decorative items
Items sold as being 'Novelty ' are exactly that - a novelty - they do not have to be fit for a particular purpose.
If We Get it Wrong:
If you receive the wrong item, or an order that is incomplete - please contact us. We are only human and very occasionally we will make a mistake. We will do our best to rectify the error within a reasonable timeframe at our own expense.
We limit, where possible, all liabilities to the total cost of the purchase. We shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever caused arising out of your use of or failure to use the product, or otherwise except to the extent to which it is unlawful to exclude such liability.
