We only sell washi tape. That's all.
Washi tape is essentially masking tape made from Japanese washi paper. Washi comes from wa meaning Japanese and shi meaning paper, and the term is used to describe paper made by hand in the traditional manner. Washi paper is commonly made using fibers from the bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrubor the paper mulberry, but also can be made using bamboo, hemp, rice, and wheat.
In the last couple of years washi tapes have become very popular for card crafters and scrapbookers. The wide range of colours and patterns together with the 'self stick' and handmade quality of the product means it's popularity will only continue to grow with avid card-crafters.
washi-tapes.co.uk was set up by one such avid card crafter who was frustrated at having to import washi-tapes and paying over-the-odds for what should be a staple to every crafters kit. Spotting a gap in the UK market Sherie set up the site exclusively to to provide the widest selection of washi tapes to the UK. We started trading in April 2011 and hope to grow our store to offer the largest selection of washitapes in the UK!
